About Rebecca Putna

I'm a Mississippi native now living in Texas after spending 23 wonderful years in Portland, Oregon—raising a family, building a private practice, soaking in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and being part of an incredible community.

I'm loving life in Texas and enjoying all the adventures it has to offer.

I’m a voracious reader and passionate book lover. My favorite authors include Wendel Berry, Louise Penny, Rebecca Ross, Leo Tolstoy, JRR Tolkien, and Abby Jimenez. I’m deeply devoted to my adult daughters, my husband, and our sweet maltipoo (who often joins me in session). I also have a serious love for college football—especially Ole Miss and the SEC—traveling this beautiful world, sharing time with friends and family and laughing as often as possible.

I’m incredibly grateful to have a career I truly love.

My Education & Experience

I have a Master of Science in Counseling from Portland State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, maintaining a license in both Oregon and Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Mississippi, as well as a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary.

I maintain a commitment to ongoing professional development through continuing education in ethics, multicultural competency, LGBTQIA+ affirming practices, and racial equity issues, ensuring my work remains current and culturally responsive. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and honors the dignity of each person who seeks therapy.
